Welcome to Stark County Junior High School!  As principal, and on behalf of our staff I would like to welcome you to our website!  Within our 8 period day we offer a very rigorous curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.  In addition, all SCJHS students are required to take physical education, art, computer literacy, humanities, health, and writing.  Stark County Junior High School hosts 170 students, 19 teachers, a librarian, nurse, psychologist, social worker, and a guidance counselor.

A variety of clubs and organizations are available for all students, including stark smart, scholastic bowl, honors choir, and the Rebecca Caudill book club.  Positions on the boys’ and girls’ track and basketball teams are available to all students, and girls have the opportunity to join the volleyball team or cheerleading squad.

With a focus on high academic expectations integrating the Common Core State Standards, we feel very fortunate in being able to offer a wide range of strong academics along with diverse extracurricular activities that offer a balanced approach in developing our students’ potential.  Stark County Junior High School is an excellent school, and our staff is dedicated to helping every student succeed to the best of their ability.
