Stark Smart

 2010-2011

 Stark Smart is a service organization.  Our main activity is going to the Toulon nursing home each month.  One visit is required of every member.  Additional activities include a canned food drive, a fundraiser, and some fun places!

These events are subject to change:

• September 1 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• September 15 – Trip to Tanner’s.  *Reminder: You must be passing all of your classes to attend this trip.
• September 24 – Homecoming Parade – *You will need your own candy
• October 6 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• October 20 – Begin Canned Food Drive and Butter Braid Fund Raiser
• November 3 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30 and All Butter Braid Orders and Money is due
• November 19  - Butter Braid pick up – right after school
• December 1 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• January 12 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• January 28 – Ice Skating Owen’s Center Peoria – *Earned Event for students who have been to the Nursing Home.
• February 2 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• March 2 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• April 6 – Nursing Home Visit 3:15-4:30
• May 11 – Swimming at the YMCA in Kewanee – *Earned Event for students who have been to the Nursing Home.

** You must be passing all classes (60% or better) to participate in Stark Smart activities.  See additional requirements listed with each activity.  All events off school property will have permission slips. **
