May 24 – 8th Grade Promotion for eligible students

May 27 – NO SCHOOL – Memorial Day

May 29 – 8th grade field trip to Great Oaks Camp

May 31 – JH Award Assembly @ 8:30 A.M.

May 31 – Last day of Student Attendance for all students.

 

Lunch Today: Meatball with sauce & cheese, green beans, broccoli & cheese, fresh fruit & veggies

Tomorrow: Cheese garlic bread & marinara sauce

Panini Menu:     Monday- Turkey and Cheese

                                Tuesday – all Meats and Cheese

                                Wednesday – Salami/Pepperoni and Cheese

Thursday – Pepperoni and Cheese

                                Friday – Ham and Cheese

Last Day of Star Testing – Today – during Literature classes

-Any student receiving their “personal best” on the Reading and/or Math will receive 10 Rebel Rewards (Ice Cream will be 10 Rebel tickets!!)

 

Rebel Reward Tickets – Students may continue to use Rebel Rewards within their Study Halls for candy from the grab bag, music in study hall, or earned computer time based on teacher okay.

On Tuesday, May 21 and Tuesday May 28 students may “purchase” an ice cream or juice bar during lunch for 10 Rebel Rewards. Tickets must be valid for this current school year, in the student’s name and only one may be purchased each of the days.

 

Music News –  Any 8th grader wishing to audition for HS Honors Choir should see Mrs. Roark for info and music and to set up an audition time

 

Library News – Last day to take Reading Counts quiz is Friday May 24th.

 

Track – you can start turning in uniforms. Make sure it is in a bag with your name on it.

 

Yearbooks – We have 1 extra yearbooks for sale. $14.00 each. First come, first serve!

 

6th Graders – Retired Chromebook program – The $40 fee and form can be turned into the office to reserve your chromebook.

 

College for Kids – Black Hawk College (East Moline Campus) is offering a summer program July 15th -19th, 2019.  An information booklet is available in the JH office for anyone interested in registering.
